Johnnie Ray Wright
April 03, 1957 - January 30, 2023
Johnnie Ray Wright, age 65, passed away at Memorial Health University on Monday, January 30. Johnnie was born in Michigan City, IN on April 3, 1957, and worked as a mechanic until he picked up the painting trade while living in Savannah, GA during the 1980’s. He was preceded in death by his companion Cindy, parents Rudy and Millie Wright, sister Wanda Wright, brother-in-law Randall Hall, one niece Sarah and two nephews Mikey and Chazman.
Survivors include his brother Theodore Herr (Carla), sister Darlene Hall, His five children Millie Wright Zipperer, Jonathan Wright (Nicole), Krystin Rae Wright-Smith (Kevin), Jill Holder Dowd (Shawn), and Johnnie Ray Wright II (Tiffany), twelve grandchildren Taylor Rae, Austin Aaron Alexander, Bradley Wade, Blake Michael, Adalynn Grace, KyLee Raechelle, Joshua Adam, Trenton Lee, Shawna Nicole, Johnnie Ray III, Aidan James, Ashlyn Nicole. Four great grands, Averie Francis, Reid Alexander, Kalani Rae, and Jazlyn Jo, a whole lot of nieces and nephews, and longtime friends. His mother-in-love Shirley Dammarrell, two special brothers, Bill Holder and Larry Tanner, along with all of the other sisters and brothers of the love of his life, his partner in all things good about all of his kids, the jugs to his bugs, Lori Lee.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
