Passed away on March 17, 2018
Sarah N. Pinckney, 88, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Savannah, GA. She was born in Savannah on July 3, 1929 to the late Fenwick T. Nichols, Jr. and Lillian A. Nichols. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband Miles M. Pinckney, brother Dr. Fenwick T. Nichols, III, and her sister Lillian N. Robertson. She attended First Baptist Church as a child, was a founding member of the Bonaventure Historical Society, a member of the Georgia Historical Society, a supporter of the Ogeechee Canal Association, and was a member of SAGA, Savannah Area Genealogical Association.
She is survived by her son, David M. Pinckney of Rincon, daughter, Laura P. Nipper (Derrill) of Indiana, two grandchildren, Carolyn Webb and David Nipper, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Bonaventure Cemetery.
