Anne Heyward Mingledorff

Anne Heyward Mingledorff, 74, peacefully passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, May 24 in Winterville, Georgia surrounded by loved ones. The lifelong resident of Savannah was preceded in death by her parents Ralston Everett and Marjory Heyward Mingledorff and siblings, Elizabeth Percival Mingledorff and George Heyward Mingledorff.

Surviving are one brother, Ralston Everett Mingledorff,Jr. and three children. A daughter, Cameron Bliss Ferrelle (Dodd); two sons, Lewis Craighill “Craig” Bliss Jr., Ralston McAlpin Mingledorff; three grandchildren, Dodd Inglesby Jr., Bliss Heyward and Lucas MacConn Ferrelle; one nephew and several cousins.  Special thanks to Linley Budreau “Bud” Mingledorff . 

Anne was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Savannah where she spent many years serving her church community which was so near and dear to her heart. She was also a lifelong animal rights advocate as well as a talented and accomplished artist. Besides her love for family, church and animals, she also had a passion for creativity and more specifically for painting. Anne loved creating intricately detailed religious icons covered in gold leaf as well as more loosely painted coastal marsh scapes and local architecture. Anne had a thirst for knowledge and creativity and was surrounded by her sketch books and books on religion until and on the day she died.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, May 30 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
