Barbara Elizabeth Bucy
Passed away on May 20, 2023
Barbara Elizabeth Bucy, 88, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at The Oaks at Habersham. She was born in Savannah, GA to the late Jackson L. Helmly and Janet Linton Helmly. Mrs. Bucy was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church and retired as a Sales Representative for Coats and Clark after 20 years of service. She was a proud member of the Red Hats, where she made many lifelong friends.
Surviving are her three sons, Gary Bucy (Nancy) of Rincon, Rick Bucy (Angela) of Rincon, and Randy Bucy (Dianne) of Austell, GA. Also surviving are her four grandchildren John and Alisa of Austell, GA, and Stephanie and Miranda of Rincon, Rincon, one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace, one sister, Phyllis Alford of Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Barb’s passing. I wish we would have known this earlier as I am sure all of her Red Hat Sisters would have been there to bid her farewell. Barb was such a lovely and kindhearted Lady. We miss her dearly.
