Shirley Geraldine “Gerrie” Ledford, 84, of Conyers, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 26th in Savannah, Georgia.

Gerrie, affectionately known as “Miss Gerrie,” was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the only daughter of George Louis Jarvis and Mary Gladys (Rice) Jarvis. In 1979, she married Louis Claude Ledford. She enjoyed spending her evenings and weekends helping with the “snack bar” at their former business, Romp N Roll, in Conyers, Georgia.  She retired from her passion, cosmetology and hair styling, after serving her customers for many years.

In addition to her husband Louis, Gerrie leaves behind her son, Tommy Daniel (Kerrin) of Savannah; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Daniel of Savannah; brother, Craig Jarvis (Debbie) of Monroe; brother, George Jarvis Jr. (Marcia) of Gainesville; brother, Joel Jarvis (Mia) of Atlanta; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends and family who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Seldon Jarvis, and her brother, Wesley Jarvis (Valerie).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00am at Gordon Church 1711 Allou Road, Royston, Georgia. All friends and family are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to do a random act of kindness for someone else, in memory of Gerrie’s giving spirit.
