Celebrating the life of

Amanda Frances Jeter-Adams

June 23, 1990 - April 11, 2023

Amanda Frances Jeter-Adams

Amanda Frances Jeter-Adams passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on April 11, 2023, at the age of 32. She was born on June 23, 1990, in Spartanburg, South Carolina and also lived in Myrtle Beach before moving to Savannah.

Amanda was a 2008 graduate of Spartanburg High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theater from Coastal Carolina University in 2012. Amanda was an integral part of the Savannah music scene with her incredible voice and undeniable energy. Her love of music was contagious, and her powerful voice touched all genres of music; from gospel to classical, musical theater to jazz. She was well known in both Savannah and South Carolina as a talented singer, often performing with friend and fellow musician Marc Chesanow. Over the last few years, she performed with Savannah’s best musicians in shows with Epic Party Band, Tybee Post Theater, The Marshall House, solo performances of original music, multiple church programs, and many other special events.

On the 4th of July in 2019, Amanda married her best friend and love of her life, Kelly Adams. They established their quirky home on the eastside of Savannah filled with love, including their fur babies; kitties Maci, Cracker, and Teddy and soon added two beloved dogs, Princesses Poppy, and Pearl. Justin Addington, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Savannah, shared a deep friendship and musical connection with both Amanda and Kelly from Spartanburg days. This led to their becoming active members of the church, singing in the choir, and playing handbells.

Amanda, Kelly, and a large group of friends and family gathered on October 1, 2022, for a long-anticipated celebration of marriage at the Georgia State Railway Museum. The happy couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Mexico before returning to Savannah.

Amanda is survived by her wife, Kelly; father, Dr. Albert L. Jeter, of Spartanburg; sisters, Emily Jeter Haun (Tom), and Elizabeth Jeter Zimmerman (Jason); nieces and nephews, Auburn and Cashion Haun, and Lilly, Sawyer, and Hunter Zimmerman; aunt, Lillian Jeter (Peter); cousin Christina; and many other cousins including, Tate Majette (Dean), and children, Bradley Fox (Graham), Claire Jurs (Doug), John, as well as Caroline Smith (Larry) and daughter Johna; brothers-in-law, Clayton Adams (Sara) and Jake Adams (Lindsay); nieces and nephew, Sommer, Grayden, Liesl, and Charlotte.

Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Terri Cashion Jeter; and grandparents, Norma Martin Cashion (John) and Frances Kent Bradley Jeter (Mobley).

Amanda will be remembered and treasured as a beloved wife, daughter, sister, and trusted friend.

Memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Saturday, April 15, 2023, with Pastor Justin Addington officiating.
