Vernon Bennett-White, 39, died at home on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Vernon was born on August 22, 1983 in Fairfax, VA to Reider White and Alice Bennett-White.

Vernon spent most of his life in Maryland before moving to Savannah 13 years ago. He graduated from Dulaney High School in Padonia, MD and attended Baltimore County Community College. He was employed in the hospitality industry by Bevinco.

Vernon loved music. He was not only an accomplished guitarist, but he enjoyed writing his own music. His passion was video games, and he especially enjoyed his game times with his high school buddies from Maryland. Vernon was also an avid reader who particularly appreciated comic books and manga. He loved spending time with his special friend, Caitlin..

In addition to his parents, Reider J. White and Alice Bennett Faber (Norman), Vernon leaves behind a brother, Reider J. White, II; sister, Shannon Mullaney; longtime special friend, Caitlin Webb; niece and nephew, Tara and Ryan; stepbrother, George; and several aunts uncles, and cousins, all of whom will dearly miss him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel, with a funeral service to begin immediately following at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you consider donating in Vernon’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 428 Bull St., UNIT 205, Savannah, GA 31401 or Wounded Warriors, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
