Rachel Duncan Bartschi, 104, of Savannah passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home srrounded by her loving family. She was born March 30, 1919, in Lewisville, Idaho to the late Thomas and Gladys Fife Duncan. She was raised in Kennewick, Washington, and lived in Murphys, California most of her life, where she was a member of Covenant Church, where she taught Sunday School, and member of Covenant Women Missionary Group. She was also a hospital volunteer and the VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Bartschi was a homemaker and a member of Bull Street Baptist Church.   

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ervin Bartschi, and four brothers.  

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Ann Bennett, her sons, Lynn Bartschi (Darlene), and Vernon Bartschi (Dawn), as well as her grandchildren, Loren Bartschi, Loreen Bartschi, Sarah Encalada Bennett, Neil Bennett, and Amanda Darby, and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Bull Street Baptist Church, with The Rev. Calvin Fowler officiating. A visitation will be at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 before the service.

A committal service will be in Murphys, California at a later date.
