Celebrating the life of

Robert (Bob) Johnson,

Passed away on February 25, 2023

Robert (Bob) Johnson,

Robert (Bob) Johnson, 79, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25th, 2023.

Bob was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. by his parents, Ernest and Ruby Johnson. He moved to North Syracuse, NY, where he married and became the father of his two children.

Bob and family settled in Savannah, GA. There he was the owner & operator of “Scotsman of Savannah”, a commercial ice machine company, for 30 years.

Bob loved flying his small plane. He loved everything to do with saltwater. He was passionate about boating, diving, fishing, and socializing with his friends at the dock. After retirement he got into wood working. He never saw a board that he didn’t think needed sawing.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Barbara Winslow, daughter, Brenda Johnson (Jennifer), and son, David Johnson (Sangun). He is also survived by sisters Nikki and Charlotte, and brothers, Jeff and Barry. He leaves behind great granddaughter, Bailey Roberts, and many other family members and friends.

In lieu of a funeral, there will be a reception with refreshments in the fellowship hall of Messiah Lutheran Church, at 3PM (1 West Ridge Road, Savannah, GA) on March 11th. Following will be a committal service at the Columbarium taking place approximately 4 PM.

Many thanks to Hospice of Savannah for their care and support.

He did it his way!
