Celebrating the life of

Jeanne Roppo

May 05, 1948 - January 14, 2023

Jeanne Roppo

Jeanne Marie Roppo, 74, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Statesboro, Georgia. Jeanne was born to the late Dennis Leo Brown and Ann Marie Brown (Johnston) in Chicago, Illinois, on May 5, 1948.

Jeanne was an avid reader, a lover of all animals, and a fiercely loyal fan of the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and Bruce Springsteen. She was a true history buff who enjoyed making "fantabulous" memories traveling with her family and enjoyed relaxing at the beach to the soothing sound of the ocean waves.

Jeanne was known for her quick wit, sharp intelligence, and deep pride in her Irish heritage. With a twinkle in her lovely blue eyes, she could always be counted on to make you laugh, lend an ear to listen, or offer a hug for comfort. She possessed a fun-loving spirit who never met a stranger, which she chalked up to having been granted "the gift of the gab."

Previously departed loved ones include her husband, Nicholas John Roppo II and her treasured dogs, Chelsea and Zeus. Jeanne leaves behind her daughters, Nicole Janine Roppo and Lisa Jeanne Zedak (Bass), sons Vincent Nicholas Roppo and Joseph Dennis Bass, several grandchildren, beloved cats Taffy and Georgia, and many wonderful friends.

Celebrations of life will be held on March 17, 2023, on Tybee Island, Georgia and on May 5, 2023, in Trempealeau, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jeanne's memory to the Humane Society of the United States (www.humanesociety.org) or to a local animal rescue of your choice.
