Celebrating the life of

Jesse Robert Gray

September 05, 1990 - February 02, 2023

Jesse Robert Gray

Jesse Robert Gray, 32, passed from this life unexpectedly on February 2nd, 2023 on Wilmington Island, GA, near Savannah. He was blessed into this world on September 5, 1990, in Fairfield, CA to Fred R. Gray Jr. and Maribel (Robles) Gray. He was a military child and grew up in Fairfield, CA, Mildenhall, England, Holloman, NM, and Colorado Springs, CO. He also lived in Denver, CO, Niceville, FL and briefly in Savannah, GA throughout his life.

He aspired to have a Military or Law Enforcement Career. Circumstances prevented the military, and in lieu of this, he became an Armed Security Officer, certified in the State of Colorado. He worked for several high-level, well known, and reputed Security Agencies throughout the state, protecting people, places, things, and assets. He was as close to being a Law Enforcement Officer as one could be without actually being in Law Enforcement. He did this with integrity and pride, and was often mistaken by his prior military colleagues, as being prior military himself. In short, he was a right Honorable Professional in a thankless profession for most of his young adult life. He was transitioning into a career in Information Technology at the time of his passing.

An avid Gamer, he could have had his own LiveStream career on Twitch or YouTube in this alone, but was too modest to go that route, preferring to play for the love of playing. In the online gamer Community, he held his own or outpaced well known pro gamers, often being the remaining survivor among those he gamed with. He also loved Role Playing Games (RPG). His collection of cards and materials is extensive. He was fast friends and well respected in every gaming venue he ever set foot in.

He was a devout Christian. Instilled by his father and Grandmother, Jesus was very present in his life. He would bear witness in his own quiet and explanative way, to anyone willing to listen. He studied The Bible diligently and had an extensive collection of different reference Bibles and literature from which to study God’s Word. He was truly a young man of Faith and showed a true Love for our Lord Jesus.

He is preceded in life by his Grand Father Fred R. Gray Sr., Grand Mother Lucille (Gray) Boyd, and Aunt Virginia (Gray) Larson. To cherish his memory, he leaves his Father Fred R. Gray Jr., Mother Maribel (Robles),  Gray, On Mothers side: Grandmother Maria Clavijo, Aunt Ana Brown, Cousins Rosalie, and Wilfredo Alicea, Tynisha and Tyron Clayton, Patrick and Alisha Moten, Uncle Johnny Robles, and Derrick Brown, Wilfredo Alicea Jr., Gabriela, Isabella Alicea. On Fathers side: Uncle Leon E. Gray (sister-in-law Tina Gray), Cousins Paul Faile Jr., and Jasmyn (Faile) Barwick; cousins Lincoln Gray, & London Gray, Grand Uncle Harry Gray (Brenda Gray), Grand Aunt Mayme Ellen Millender (Jesse Millender), and many, many other cousins as well as a host of other relatives and long-time friends in Florida, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, and elsewhere across the Country.

He was a great human being, with a quiet demeanor and a soft, protective soul. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday February 8, 2023, 2PM Eastern Time at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel, 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406 with Rev. Doug Patterson officiating. Visitation will precede the Service. Interment will take place later this Spring at Shedville Cemetery near Brownfield and Golconda, IL.
