Celebrating the life of

Sara Joyce Nichols

Passed away on February 01, 2023

Sara Joyce Nichols

Sara Joyce Nichols, Born on July 1st, 1945, while surrounded by her family,  peacefully transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior on February 1, 2023. She was 77 years young and filled with joy.  A loving mother to five children whom she absolutely adored as well as a grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who met her.

Sara loved to help others and was always willing to help the elderly. She was called by God to open and run many personal care homes. She loved to laugh and brought so much joy to those around her.  Her compassion for others and genuine care for them was much like a light from a lighthouse, shining bright even in the darkest of times.  She always had time for friends and family and, she let you know that you mattered to her.

Always up for a new adventure, she would give into her “Gypsy” ways and move around to new cities.  Never one to back down or slow down, her can-do and will-do attitude kept her going well into her later years.

Sara is preceded in death by her mother, Eula Waters, her father, James Mitchell Waters; Her sons, John Griffin and Dale Griffin.  She is survived by her brother William Waters and his wife Lynda. A daughter Jamie Kennedy and her husband Mark, her son's David Griffin,  Michael Griffin and his wife Becky. Grandchildren Amber Cook and her husband Sammy,  Amir Shirazy and his wife Taylor, Justus and Daniel Griffin, and three great grandchildren, Ethan and Grace Cook and Shyah Shirazy.

Sara will be dearly missed but we take comfort in knowing she is with her Heavenly Father

Her funeral service will be on Tuesday February 7th with a viewing from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Fox and Weeks Funeral home on Hodgson Memorial drive with a grave side service to follow at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden.
