GUEST BOOK

Wanda was a wonderful teacher and friend. I enjoyed knowing and working with her at Thunderbolt. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her precious family, at this sad time.

May the angels welcome her to paradise.

I will never forget the first day I walked into Wanda’s classroom at Thunderbolt Elementary. She was surrounded by her students on the carpet. She was reading to them and teaching them her own special songs to help them learn and retain information. She truly was the most dedicated, engaging, and loving teacher I have ever had the honor of working with. She was not only my colleague but my friend and neighbor. We shared many stories about our children (differences in raising girls and boys), our grandchildren, and life in general. Rest in peace sweet Wanda. Until we meet again.

Wanda was a dear friend and next door neighbor for many years. I really enjoyed our back door chats over the years about so many things…flowers, butterflies, kids driving too fast on scooters and golf carts which were among our many conversations. Wanda fought her cancer with bravery and her wonderful spirit. She never complained and was so grateful for the time she was able to share with her family, especially granddaughter and her children. Her love and faith during her long battle was unwavering. I will miss her so much, especially this spring when it’s time to plant my flowers. Sending prayers to her family and friends.

My deepest condolences to Ms. Miller's family. Ms. Miller's taught my daughter and nieces at Thunderbolt elementary. She was a nice a dedicated teacher . Ms. Miller went above and beyond and she encouraged my daughter to participate in a Stem competition ( they placed 3rd) but they wereso excited and I know Ms. Miller was instrumental in their win. I never saw her without a smile on her face. I am glad she is at peace. Rest on Mrs.Miller.

I met Wanda the first year I worked in education. She is one of the reasons I decided to become a teacher. She made it look so easy. I am now a retired elementary teacher, and throughout my teaching career, I used the lessons in phonics that Wanda taught me, and my students performed well. She was not just a good teacher to her students; she was a good teacher to other teachers as well.

Wanda and I grew up almost within arms reach on most weekends in the summer and on weekends during school times. I remember going to her house and yelling for her Mom to see if she could come out and play. She was such a good friend. I just wish that we had kept closer in touch through the years. God Bless your family.
