Alfred Howard

Alfred Howard (83), beloved husband of Betty Howard, departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, surrounded by his family.

He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, fishing, and crabbing.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, and always lit up the room with his social personality.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty; his children Mark Howard, Christina Dorn (Ed), Cindy Hudson (Jason), and Karen Cunningham (James); his twin sister, Atheline Mathews (Bob); his 9 grandchildren, Shannon, Justin, Faith, Christopher, Leslie, Jessica, Nicholas, Jordan, Troup, and Caroline; and his great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son, David Howard and step-daughter Lorrie Snyder.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2018 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, GA.
