Judith Parker "Betty"  Lewis, 75, died peacefully, Monday, January 9, 2023 with her sister by her side.  She was born February 28, 1947 in Columbia, SC to the late Clarence B. Parker, Sr. and Judith Crowson Parker.  Betty was a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy and Armstrong State College where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Education.  She retired from Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Savannah after 30 years of service.  She also taught school at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and math in Chatham County Schools.   She was a volunteer coordinator of Hospice Savannah Grief Support Group for men and women whose spouse’s had passed away.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony Lewis, and her niece, Julie K. Parker. 

Surviving are her sister, Mary M. “Marty” Parker of Savannah, her brother, Clarence B. “Larry” Parker Jr. (Catherine) of Albany, NY, niece, Leigh Ann Parker (Brendan) of Glenmont, NY, nephews, David B. Parker of Albany, NY, and Andrew T. Parker of Kingston, NY, and great-nephew and great-niece, Dylan and Evelyn Saunders.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Remembrances may be made to St. Vincent’s Academy, 207 E. Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
