Linda Pelli Harper

Linda Pelli Harper born August 2, 1944, passed peacefully January 8, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in the Old Fort section of Savannah and the family later moved to Gohler Avenue when her father built their family home. She was a devoted wife, loving mom, doting grandmother, caring sister, gifted teacher, talented artist and seamstress, avid gardener, world traveler, consummate Girl Scout, devout Catholic and always enjoyed being active in her church groups at St. James Catholic Church.

Linda will be greatly missed by family and friends. She was an incredibly thoughtful individual, always finding big and small ways to brighten someone’s day. The bright light she brought to the world will shine in a new way now.

GUEST BOOK

Linda was my oldest friend, not in age, but in years. We met at Sacred Heart Catholic School in first grade. We lived in the same neighborhood and attended St. James Catholic Church most of our lives. Linda married my first cousin Sonny Harper. Now we were not just friends but we were also family. There were long periods when we did not see or talk with each other but when we did meet up we could pick back up like no time had passed. My heart goes out to Sonny and all of Linda's family. She will be sorely missed. We will all be together again in the home of our heavenly Father, where we will pick up again like no time has passed. God bless you all. Pat & Madeline Cetti

I am greatly saddened to learn of Linda's passing. She was such a charming and friendly person. You could easily see her love for children, and her approach to her career and interaction with people was a ministry, just as much as any priest or pastor. It was always a delight to be around her, and Sonny chose well when he chose her. May God grant Sonny, Josey and Heather comfort during this sad time.

We will cherish the memory of our dear Linda. She was, oh, so much more than our precious Sister-in-Law. She was the sweetest, most loving, most inspirational sister, and the very example of a Devout Catholic. Thank you Linda for being in our life. The Angels in Heaven have welcomed you with open arms.

- Frances and David Wheeler, OZARK, AL

Heather has been my dear friend since our St. Vincent's days. Linda and Sonny always welcomed me into their home and made me feel like family. Linda was always so warm and perky and a joy to be around(and her candied pecan and pound cake were delicious!) Heather and Josey are incredibly lucky to have had her as a mother and I can only imagine how many children's lives were profoundly changed for the better from having her as a teacher or Girl Scout Leader. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing her was very lucky. The world is a better place because of her and she will be very missed.

- Janie Keane, Seattle, Wa

Linda taught all 3 of our children in kindergarten at Largo Tibet. She was such a loving and positive influence on them and us as parents. She was one of the most amazing people I have had the privilege to have in my life.

She was a very nice person all of her life. Her mom drove the school bus if memory serves me?. Linda atteneded my mom's service in 2013 and introduced herself , I had not seen her since 1962. I got the best hugs.I am proud that I was in her village as a young person. The world is a better place because she was in it. RIP Linda. Hugs, Chester
