Lilina Yevstegneyeva

Lilina Yevstegneyeva, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Riverview Health and Rehab under the care of Hospice Savannah.  She was born December 5, 1936 in Uzbekistan to the late Vasiliy and Ludmila Yatzkevitch.  Lilina graduated from college with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.  She was an Elementary School Principal.  She loved being an educator, especially for children. Even though her early years were hard, she always had a smile for her family and the many children in her care.  She always put herself last while caring for her family and anyone else.  She was a great cook and an even better baker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Yuriy Yevstegneyev, and her son, Igor Yevstegneyev.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Yevstegneyev (Nina), daughter, Zhanna Priest (Ray), three grandchildren, Dr. Yana Puckett (Tyson), Yan Vinarskiy (Rebecca), and Roland Priest.  She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Helen Puckett, and Catherine Lilian Puckett.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside Service will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
