Stan was one of the most knowledgeable gardeners I've ever met. His gorgeous daylily creations touched me deeply, as they always reminded me of my mother's love for that particular flower. I enjoyed many a peaceful afternoon on the shores of his and Sheila's island home, and I'll cherish memories of his kindness, convivial nature and creativity. Peace and comfort to all his family.

I was trying to find classmates from long ago and I searched for Stanley. I'm so sorry he's gone. We were in a program for the gifted & I always remembered him as very smart & a serious student. My dad worked for the railroad & got transferred in the middle of the year. I went on to the 8th grade, getting to skip the 7th. I imagine Stanley did too. We had to leave Savannah, so I lost touch with Stanley. I remember him like it was yesterday. I know you must be very sad.
