Celebrating the life of
Leonila Atamosa
February 20, 1930 - November 25, 2022
Mrs. Leonila A. Atamosa, 92, of Savannah, GA, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born February 20, 1930, in the Philippines, daughter of the late Fidela Mulintapang, and preceded in death by her husband, Francisco G. Atamosa. Mrs. Atamosa was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
She was a volunteer Senior Companion at several Senior Companion centers in Savannah, GA over several years.
Survivors include her daughters, Billie Devega, Flor Nesmith and Beth Schroeder of Savannah, GA, Leonora Wells of Show Low, Arizona, Angela Smith of New South Wales, Australia, Teresa Santos, Francisco Atamosa Jr. and Robert Atamosa of Manila, Philippines, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Fox and Weeks Hodgson Chapel, Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m to be led by Father Gabe Cummings of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Savannah, GA, to be concelebrated by Father Gabe Cummings and Father Rudy Roxas. Inurnment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
