Doris Goldberg Wiggins

Doris Joanne Goldberg Wiggins “Ema” passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 in Savannah, Georgia. Doris was born in Savannah on November 16, 1929. She was a Savannah High School graduate and longtime resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy Benjamin Wiggins, her son, Richard Stacy Wiggins, her sister Christine Goldberg Shuman (Jimmy), and her parents, Louis James and Agnes Hansen Goldberg. She is survived by her son, Christopher Stacy Wiggins (Kathy) and her daughter, JoAnne Wiggins Warman (Kenny), her brothers, Louis Goldberg, Jr. (Kay) and Donald Goldberg (Janice), four grandchildren (Trey, April, Christopher, and Sean), seven great-grandchildren (Lauren, Christopher, Aivey, Tyler, Autumn, Kenneth, and Hunter), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Doris lived a long and full life as a faithful Christian. She was a charter member of St. Luke Methodist Church and a member of Richmond Hill United Methodist Church. She loved teaching and learning Bible Study fellowship sessions, enjoyed gardening, singing, going to Tybee Island beach and was also an avid painter most of her life. She gifted and sold thousands of pieces of her artwork over the years, leaving a lasting legacy.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10-11 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors on Hodgson Memorial with a graveside service to follow at Hillcrest Abbey Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Stacy, and son, Ricky.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Doris’ honor to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
