On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Ellene Wilkinson Anderson, loving wife and mother of two, passed away at age seventy-seven.

Ellene left a strong legacy of love in the lives of so many, especially her husband, Tom Anderson, two daughters, Deanna Sorrells and Danielle Akrong (Cecil); and granddaughter, Mia Ellene Akrong. 

A lifelong resident of Savannah, Ellene was the daughter of the late Henry Nielson and Mary Guyton Wilkinson. She was a lifetime member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband and two daughters, Ellene is survived by a brother, William Guyton Wilkinson (Christine); nephew, Nelson Wilkinson (Robin); and great-nephews and nieces, Rachel, Joshua, Jamie and Brittany. Ellene's memory will be forever carried on by many other loving family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
