Celebrating the life of
Linda Diane Moore
June 16, 1950 - September 17, 2022
On Saturday. September 17. 2022. Linda Diane Moore, with her daughter, Lisa and her love, Gene by her side departed this life and reunited with her two beloved children James & Monica, who preceded her in death. Linda was diagnosed 1 month ago with what turned out to be the end of a long illness. She was hospitalized at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah. Linda was born in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania on June 16, 1950 to Robert William & Mary Jane Moore. Linda married the late James Kuhn Maloney. The couple subsequently relocated to Savannah. Ga where Mr. Maloney was stationed at HAAF base.Together they raised their 3 children in the Wilmington Island Community until their divorce in 1987.
Linda was a beautiful, wonderful and much loved grandmother, mother, partner, aunt, sister and friend to all who were blessed to know her. Her kindness, compassion and generosity were bestowed upon those lucky enough to cross her path. She was always eager to help those less fortunate or broken despite the unspeakable physical and emotional pain she'd endured much of her life. As an amazing cook, preparing and sharing a meal with family and friends was one of Linda's greatest life pleasures. Her spaghetti dinners were a family favorite and a source of many shared memories.
Linda loved to travel with her love and partner, Gene and experience all life had to offer, often becoming instant friends with those she'd meet along the way. She was an avid animal lover, often taking in strays and rescues. Any animal that found themselves in her care would want for nothing. She is sorely missed by her fur babies Daisy, Maggie, and Sassy.
Aside from her family, Linda was committed to work. Most of her life was spent working in management positions, and she was an incredibly hard working woman. For the past 20 years, Linda was an owner/employer/manager who has often been described as a "mom" by her tenants and employees alike. Linda was a strong businesswoman with an outstanding work ethic. No task was below her, she actively renovated, maintained and managed properties right up until she was hospitalized a month ago. She continued managing the business aspects of her properties even while hospitalized up until a week before her passing!
Linda was preceded in death by her son, James Kuhn Maloney, Jr., daughter, Monica Lynn Ryan, nephew, Robert Brendon Kirk, father and mother Robert William & Mary Jane Moore.
Linda is survived by her partner and love of her life of 22 years, Robert Gene Glisson, her daughter, Lisa Diane Maloney-Proper (Stephen M.), stepson Robert Ross Glisson (Julianne), her grandchildren, Amber Lynn Lloyd, Daniel Edward Williams (Fabian), Stephen James Proper, Annabelle Maitland Glisson, Olivia Elle Ryan, Gabrielle Marie Proper, and Shane Ross Glisson; her great grandchildren, Michael Lodge Lloyd., Matthew Wayne Lloyd, Lilliana Mae Some, and Zoe Marie Lloyd; sisters, Elizabeth Anne Casale (Rich) and Roberta Jane Kirk (Robert); nephews Anthony Robert Casale (Joanne) and Matthew Richard Casale, great nieces Fiona Mary Casale and Ashlyn Shea Casale.

Although I had only recently met her while taking care of her fur babies , I was fortunate enough to spend time talking with her during these visits . She was a sweet lady who loved her family and fur babies and I’m glad to have met her . My heart goes out to Lisa and the rest of her family during this time

Linda was the best mom figure to me. She was beautiful, kind hearted, tough, as in she would say, Jodi suck it up for yourself and also tell it like it was. She was fun and loving and always knew when I needed advice or a hug. God put us together in 2019 for a reason. I miss her so much...although I now she is looking down on all of us...prayers and hugs to the family of this beautiful human whom I had the pleasure to love also. JODI
