John was a forever friend to my husband David. They worked together at Chatham County Police Department for many years. John's sense of humor was amazing and he was so happy to share his "fun" personality with you. John and David can get together now and share memories. You will certainly be missed by your family and friends. RIP

- Betty Culver Hicks, wife of (David Hicks-deceased), Port Wentworth, Georgia

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Johnny. At this time my prayers go to his wife, children, Grand and Great Grandchildren and of course Steve. I have many great memories growing up with my cousin and will forever cherish them. I pray that God will give you all peace that passes all understanding.

I heard about Johnny my entire life. My dad was in Marine Corps with him when they were 17. They are in heaven singing country music and letting the clouds know they are together again!

- Betsy Cooper (Evon) , Exeter, RI

It saddens me to be just now reading of John's passing. I had not seen him in years but what a character he was. I knew him mostly from the years we both played music around town and at one time worked together with the Country Squires ... Deepest Sympathy to family and friends .....
