Celebrating the life of
Christopher Joseph Fahey
Passed away on September 15, 2022

Christopher Joseph Fahey, 65, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Memorial Health with his family by his side. Chris was born December 24, 1956 in Savannah to the late Edward Joseph Fahey and Martha Bradley Fahey. He was a 1974 graduate of Benedictine Military Academy and went on to receive his B.S. in Nursing from Armstrong Atlantic State University. As his first career he worked in the shipping industry in logistics for over 25 years, before pursuing his passion in nursing. Chris was an active member of Asbury Memorial Church, where he served in many capacities. For over six years he started the worship service at Asbury by giving the morning announcements, serving in the bell choir, singing in the church choir, and participating in small groups.
In addition to his parents, Chris is preceded in death by his brother, Edward J. Fahey, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie Lord Fahey; mother of his children, Marianne Filson Fahey; son, Michael James Fahey (RosaLee Ward); daughter Mary Kathleen Fahey (Brad Johnson); three grandchildren, Miller, Khane, and Sullivan; his brother, Patrick J. Fahey (Laura); sister-in-law, Vincent Fahey; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved church family at Asbury Memorial Church.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Asbury Memorial Church.
Remembrances may be made to Asbury Memorial Church.
