Ellen Marie Dugan Casper
June 18, 1965 - September 14, 2022
Ellen Marie Dugan Casper, 57, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her home with her family by her side. Ellen was born June 18, 1965 in Queens, New York to the late John Edward Dugan and Mary Rose Rice Dugan. She attended Daytona Beach State College. She worked for Grumman in St. Augustine, FL, and also at the Sarasota County Court House.
Ellen loved the outdoors, and was an active snow and water skier, kayaker, and traveler.
She is survived by her husband, Michael T. Casper, two sons, Brendan Casper (Allie), and Sean Casper (Mia Castillo), her sister, Noreen Mansfield (Richard), her nieces and nephews, Kerry Dahlberg (Trey), Brian Mansfield (Claire), Michael Mansfield (Mindy), Daniel Mansfield, Hannah Mansfield, and Katie Mansfield, two great nieces, Clare and Allie, and one grandchild on the way.
Also surviving Ellen are her two faithful companions, her shelties, Finnegan and Keegan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
Michael and Sons and family My sincerest condolences go out to you and the boys at the loss of my loving cousin Ellen. I am very saddened by her passing away too young and too soon. My wife Tina and I send our deepest condolences to Michael, Sean, Brendan, Noreen and Ellen's entire extended family. Although Ellen was my cousin, she was really more like a sister. We lived two doors away and was the best little buddy ever. We were two peas in a pod. I have really fond memories of growing up together in Sunnyside. I'll miss her forever.
