Philip Steven Green, age 72, died September 13, 2022 at his residence, under the care of his wife and Hospice Savannah.  He was born April 15, 1950 in Rome, Georgia, where he graduated from West Rome High School in 1969.  He worked in the liquor distribution business for over 50 years.  He started work for North Georgia Distributing in Rome, and ended with United Distributing in Savannah, retiring in 2015.  He loved golf, boating, and the Georgia Bulldawgs.

He was predeceased by his mother, Jane Latham Green, his father, Stanley Green, and his sister, Nina Oakes.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Diane Moore Green; two daughters, Shalon Hall (Chris Hall) and Crystal Thacker (Jeremy Thacker); son, Tony Freeman (Melissa Freeman); seven grandchildren, Hunter and Logan Hall, Madyson and Bryson Thacker, Levi and Raigan Miller, and Josh Freeman; two stepsons, Stephen and Jacob Plunk; and his sister, Theresa Martin.

A memorial visitation will be at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel on Saturday, September 17th from 9:30am to 10:30am, followed immediately by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Humane Society.
