Meriel Newman Cupstid
Passed away on August 24, 2022
Meriel Jean Newman Cupstid, 88, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at her home in Savannah. She was born in Bulloch County, GA to the late John Miller Newman and Lera Iler Newman. Mrs. Cupstid was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Joy Newman Kleeman and Mary Newman Estill, and her brother, Edwin Newman.
Surviving Mrs. Cupstid are her daughter, Gina Marie Cupstid Capo, and son-in-law, John J. Capo III, son, Timothy Karl Cupstid, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Rutledge Cupstid, daughter, Carla Camille Cupstid Pearson, and son-in-law, William Edwin Pearson IV, granddaughter, Brittany Cameron Pearson, sister, Irita Newman Love, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
