My deepest condolences to the family. I will fondly remember her sweet smile and charming personality. Absent from her body but in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Welcomed by all the family gone on before her that were anxiously waiting her arrival . Oh what a rejoicing they are experiencing. May God bless those left to join her at a later time with a peace only He gives.

Bonnie, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I never met her, but I know she was one amazing woman. I loved listening to your stories about her. She was strong, fierce, loving, and funny! I know she will be missed by many and love the closeness your family share. Sleep well Mrs. Dickey...

So sorry for your loss. Although I have no memory of the event my father John Dean told me many times when he and my family were down in Clewiston, Fl, Mrs. Dixie saved my life by pulling me out of the hotel pool while I was drowning. I was 3 years old.

- Thomas Dean, DAWSONVILLE, Georgia

Miss Dixie, you'll be missed. My fondest memories of the Refinery was being your neighbor. Condolences to all your family.

I am saddened to see that Dixie has passed away. She and my mother, Vivian Dupuy Kenney were childhood friends at the Savannah Sugar Refinery. What a wonderful and giving individual. I am so sorry I am only reading this now. May she RIP

My sincere condolences in the passing of Dixie. She was such a beautiful and kind woman. My family shared many fond times with her many years ago, enjoying the many stories she and my mom shared growing up in "Sugar Hill." Those friendships lasted a lifetime. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you.
