Patricia Ann Lang Corcoran
Passed away on July 25, 2022
Patricia Ann “Patsy” Corcoran, 73, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022. She was born March 29, 1949 in Savannah, GA to the late Frank and Virginia Fogarty Lang. Patsy graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1967 and from Armstrong State College with a B.S. degree in nursing and a master’s degree in Special Education. She taught middle school special education students, and also established a successful tutoring service from her home, One-On-One Tutoring. Patsy then developed a homeschooling service in her home, Neva Academy. In her nursing career she worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in patient education, and as a registered nurse and also was the Director of Nursing at a skilled nursing facility. She was a communicant of the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist, and a former member of the Daughter’s of Ireland.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jean Lang, and her brother, Frank Joseph Lang, Jr.
Patsy took care of everyone in the family and helped so many individuals through sharing her talents and skills with each one. Her love and concern will never be forgotten.
Surviving are her husband, John Michael Corcoran, her son, Glenn Hohnerlein, granddaughter, Abby Marie Hohnerlein, and her sister, Sr. Mary Ann Lang, IHM. She is also survived by her very close cousin, Ruthie McDonald (Tim), as well as many other cousins.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2022 with the Rosary at 5:00 p.m., at Fox & Weeks, Islands Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. Vincent’s Academy.

In the little time that I knew Patsy she became a friend as well as someone that I took care of. I will miss her greatly as I’m sure she will be missed by many.
