William Warner "Bill" Ingram III

Passed away on July 19, 2022

He was never happier than when dressed in camouflage unless it was wearing UGA gear to cheer on his beloved Bulldogs.

William Warner “Bill” Ingram III, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, surrounded by his daughters and loving family.

Bill was born in Savannah, the eldest son of William Warner Jr. and Adella (Mann) Ingram. He attended Savannah public schools graduating from Savannah High School. Bill received his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He also served in the Georgia Air National Guard.

Bill retired from Allstate Insurance after many years of representing clients, beginning at the Sears booth in the Oglethorpe Mall and ending with his own office in Sandfly. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and traveler whose love of the outdoors lasted his entire life. He was never happier than when dressed in camouflage unless it was wearing UGA gear to cheer on his beloved Bulldogs.

Bill was predeceased by both his parents, his daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Ingram Hampton, and his grandson, James Andrew Kingery.

He is survived by his daughters, Becky Ingram of Savannah; Jennifer Armstrong (Robert) of Savannah and Alexandria, VA; Cheri Lewis of Savannah; grandchildren, Kristen Cowart (Dustin), Connor and Naya Armstrong of Savannah; Cole Lewis (U.S. Army), Savannah Hampton (U.S. Army), and his great grandson, Dustin Cowart Jr.; sisters, Stratton Richardson (Tim) of Menlo Park, CA; Anne Griffin (Mark) of Savannah; brother, Neil Ingram (Pam) of St. Simons Island; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends from a lifetime in Savannah.

A memorial visitation will be held at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5:30 p.m.

A Requiem Mass will be held at the Collegiate Church of St. Paul the Apostle (Episcopal) on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.

A private committal will be held at Bonaventure Cemetery.
