Celebrating the life of

Mary Lee Yocca

Passed away on July 07, 2022

Mary Lee Yocca

Mary Lee Zizak Yocca, went to be with The Lord on July 7, 2022 at Hospice Savannah.  Since she had been a volunteer at Hospice for many years, some of her old friends are still here as volunteers and helped treat her.

She was born on May 18, 1939 in Braddock, PA and she and Samuel were married on August 30, 1958.  Their 63 plus years of wedded bliss have been a gift from God.

Mary Lee believed in helping others, and she was active volunteering in schools and churches in which the Yocca family lived.

She is the mother of S. Bradley Yocca, David Joseph Yocca, and Maribeth Yocca Szott, who all reside in Michigan, our last home.  She is also the grandmother of our 6 grandchildren, S. Clayton Yocca, Parker James Yocca, Samuel David Yocca, John Paul Yocca, Sabrina Szott, and Ava Szott.

After she graduated from Penn Hills High School near Pittsburgh, PA in 1957, she became a private secretary for a U.S. Steel Vice President until her first child arrived.

There will be a Memorial Mass on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 8412 Whitfield Ave, Savannah, GA

In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
