Celebrating the life of

Willene Fields Beasley

January 31, 1927 - July 05, 2022

Willene Fields Beasley

Willene Fields Beasley, 95, died peacefully on July 5, 2022 at Spanish Oaks Retreat.

Willene was born in Evans County, GA on January 31, 1927 to the late Frank and Annie Elizabeth Lanier Fields. In 1948, Willene married the love of her life, Harvey Ottis Beasley. She and Ottis remained soulmates until his death in 2005. Since his death, Willene deeply missed Ottis, but their joyous reunion in heaven brings great comfort to her family.

Willene was a homemaker and an exceptional cook. She loved her family and was happiest spending time and hosting meals for them. She was a woman of strong faith and was an active member of Faith Primitive Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Ladies Circle and held numerous positions within the church. Willene always enjoyed volunteering and helping to provide delicious meals at church functions and for those in need. She was a member of Alee Temple Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents and husband, Willene was preceded in death by three brothers, Rubin, Foy, and Joe T. Fields; and two half-sisters, Thelma Fields Jenkins and Mary Fields Rushing.

Surviving are a son, Wayne Beasley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Walter Wysocki and Lisa and Bob Covino; four grandchildren, Katharine Baker (Cliff), Natalie Munro (Ross), Robert Covino (Sarah), Ben Covino (Amber); and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Herman Fields; two sisters, Geneva Stephens and Freida Bulloch (Carter); and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be considered in Willene’s honor to Shriners Children Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

To the entire Beasley family...losing one parent is hard enough, but when you’ve lost your mom, it’s like the heart of the family is missing. It sounds like she led a long fulfilling life. You will miss her in ways you don’t think possible, but when it hits you and you feel the sadness overwhelming you, just think how happy she is to be with her soulmate once again. She is no longer in a strange place with strangers, but in a place where everyone loves her and has been waiting to be with her again.

What a lovely tribute to a beautiful woman who loved Christ and family. She was precious to me as well and I'm grateful for the times we've been able to share since we first met when your darling Daddy went home to be with Jesus, as did my precious first husband, Jerry. May God comfort, strengthen, uphold you, and give you joy in the reality of Willene's new life! My love to each of you!
