Doris Holder Ruff
Passed away on July 03, 2022
Doris Holder Ruff, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Effingham County, daughter of Charles S. and Grace Edwards McCall.
After graduation from Clyo High School, she moved to Savannah and married Romie Dell Holder. Mrs. Ruff retired in 1996 from Solomon Wholesale Pharmacy and was a member of Wilmington Island United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Romie Dell Holder and Claude L. Ruff, son, Charles Geoffrey Holder and sister, Charlotte Fultz.
Surviving are her son, Todd Holder (Angel) of Brunswick, GA; daughter, Delores Bias (John) of Bluffton, SC; sister, Barbara Zealy of Effingham County, GA; grandchildren, Zachary Holder of Brunswick, GA; Jessica Holder of Williamsburg, VA; three great grandchildren, Lila Holder, Thalia Valenzuela and Easton Linden all of Williamsburg, VA.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
