Michael A. (Mike) Sievers

Michael A. (Mike) Sievers

Mike Sievers, 82, died peacefully on Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Riverview Nursing Home under the care of hospice.

Mike was born in Savannah on January 9, 1940, to the late Louis Sievers and Mary Robider. He attended Belmont Abbey and was 1957 graduate of Benedictine Military School. Mike served briefly in the US Coast Guard and worked for many years in the sales industry. Mike was a communicant of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. 

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by a brother, Tony Sievers.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Nancy Bannerman Sievers; two loving daughters, Donna Sievers O’Connor and her husband Terry,  Leslie Sievers Dodd and her husband Barry; grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher (Nicole), and Colin O'Connor, and Joseph, John, and Daniel Dodd; great-grandchild, Marlee Grace O'Connor; sister, Diane Sievers Carver; brother-in-law, Bill Bannerman; sister-in-law, Jane Bannerman Scarboro; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. 

Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Rev. Patrick O'Brien officiating. Visitation and a short rosary service will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.  

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Saint Jude's Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
