Celebrating the life of

Charles Jerry Burgio, III

September 19, 1957 - May 06, 2022

Charles Jerry Burgio, III

Charles Jerry Burgio III was born in Buffalo, New York to Charles Burgio Jr, and Arlene Terrano and was the oldest of five children.  He spent his younger years in Rochester, New York and then relocated to California where he spent most of his teenage years, and graduated from Westmont High School in Campbell.  It was during his high school days where Chuck met the love his life, Colleen, at a local church, and began to build numerous friendships that would last a lifetime.  Chuck and Colleen eventually married and were blessed with 33 wonderful years of marriage.  These years were filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Chuck would be the first to tell you to "be careful what you wish for, God has a sense of humor."  He prayed that he would be surrounded by beautiful women, and was blessed a beautiful wife and five beautiful daughters all of whom made him proud.  In 1998, Chuck and Colleen relocated to Savannah, Georgia where they continued to make life long friendships and memories with those they met. Chuck was a master craftsman and a wonderful chef.  You would often find him working in the community on a variety of construction projects, around his own house with many DIY projects or in the kitchen expressing his love through the wonderful food he created and shared. Chuck truly lived life to the fullest, and created many memories for us all to cherish forever.

Chuck joined our Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.  He is survived by his wife, Colleen Burgio; his parents, Charles Burgio, Jr and Arlene Alercia; his children, Dana and Stewart Adams, Melissa and Stephen Carlsen, Chrystal and Luis Burgio, Adrienne and Ian Borchers and Katie Rose Burgio; and his ten grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

Service will be held in his honor at Fox and Weeks - Islands Chapel located at 4605 Highway 80 East, Savannah, GA 31410.  The family asks that you please wear Blue and Red in honor of Chuck's favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills.
