My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Marie did so much for so many in such a quiet and supportive way. Never bringing accolades to herself, she did so much for preserving our past with the saving of many a Historic Savannah building and supporting our future through giving many of Savannah's grateful, young people their first jobs at the Weis Theatres and her work mentoring youth through Savannah's Pilot Club. She and Aunt Lillian Lindsay were quite a team and accomplished so much in so many ways for so many. They set quite an example for the rest of us. Know Marie appreciated greatly all that was done for her especially in the recent past years - including bringing her favorite coffee from McDonald's. Marie and Aunt Lillian, too, will always be remembered for all they taught and meant to me.

Sending our love to Marie’s family & friends. We will always cherish the fun times & memories we shared with Marie & Lillian, especially as their “NC Decorators” for the famous St. Patty’s party’s they looked forward to hosting every year! We rejoice in Marie’s reunion with Lillian & brother Phil….& know those “Irish eyes are smiling” down on us everyday!

Marie Winters was like a 'breath of fresh air'. As she entered the room, you noticed a silent but personal dignity that only Marie could convey. She, like her cherished morning coffee at McDonald's, was a perfect blend - a friend with great social skills and business sense. A good stock market report always brought a little lift to Marie's left shoulder and a twinkle in her eye. What a great person she was - thanks Marie for being you and for passing our way.
