Celebrating the life of
John Randolph Fishback
December 30, 1943 - March 24, 2022
John Randolph Fishback, age 78, died March 24, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center. The Savannah native resided in Richmond Hill. He attended Chatham County Schools and graduated from Savannah High School in 1962. John attended both Andrew College and Georgia Southern College (University) and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Armstrong State College in 1975. He lettered in both soccer and tennis during his college career.
John served in the United States Coast Guard, and in 1970 was awarded the Commander’s Medal for Bravery in Air and Sea Rescue. He formerly served on the vestry and in the choir for both St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Savannah, and for St. Elizabeth’s Church in Richmond Hill. He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Ascension for the past 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Fishback of Richmond Hill; daughter, Hollie Feus of Richmond Hill; granddaughter, Casey Williams (Micajah) of Savannah; grandson, Chase Feus of Richmond Hill; and great granddaughter, McKinley Williams of Savannah.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
