Billy Moore Kerley

Billy Moore Kerley

Billy Moore Kerley, age 88, of Savannah, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on March 19, 2022.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Julia Patricia Remion Kerley, his children,  Vicki Parker (Roy), Anthony W. Kerley, Valerie McGrath (Alvin), Julie Smith (Tim), Timothy J. Kerley; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several in-laws, neices and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents,  William Otto Kerley and Vira Mai Howard Kerley; brother, Howard Wilson; sister, Dilla Marie Burt, and grandson David Allen McGrath.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.

Bill served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Ferris State University in 1961. Bill retired from K-Mart where he worked as a Registered Pharmacist. Bill was communicant of Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island, GA.

Visitation and a Rosary service will be held Tuesday, March 22nd from 5:00-7:00 at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Michael J. Kavanaugh celebrating. Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Bill's caregiver, Ann Jacobs for the compassinate care given to their father during his illness. 

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be sent to GHC Hospice Foundation or Meals on Wheels of Savannah.
