Celebrating the life of
Joyce Gupton Hutchinson
November 13, 1931 - January 21, 2022
Joyce Gupton Hutchinson, 90, died peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2022.
Born in Atlanta, GA on November 13, 1931 to the late Ford and Alexa Bowen Gupton, Joyce lived most of her life in Savannah. She retired from C&S Bank on Bull Street after many years of service.
Joyce loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed creating memories with her children and grandchildren as they traveled the country in an RV.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Merle David Hutchinson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kim Hutchinson; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Chris Godbee; three grandchildren, Kyle Hutchinson (Christy), Kasey Duggar (Steve), and Brad Godbee (Rita), four great-grandchildren, Lily and Hanna Duggar, Asher Hutchinson and McKinley Miltadies; and several other friends and family members that will miss her dearly.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Rev. Reland Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest making a donation in Joyce's memory to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
The family will be in our prayers, she was a lovely client and friend. She will be missed!
