Dr. Christopher George Cooper

Dr. Christopher George Cooper died Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021, at the age of 73 in his home. 

Born in Savannah, July 21, 1948, Dr. Cooper earned a PhD in psychology from the University of Georgia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mensa, and the Sons of the American Revolution. 

Dr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents Retired Col. James Weaver Cooper. Sr. and Helen Boston Cooper. 

Surviving are a brother, James W. Cooper, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Watkinsville, GA; nephew, James W. Cooper III and his wife, Jacqueline, of Seattle, WA; niece, Allison B. Byler and her husband, Matt, of Fort Mill, SC; and great-nieces: Madelyn A. Cooper of Phoenix, AZ and Katherine F. Burfield of Fort Mill, SC. 

Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery followed by an 11:00 a.m. funeral service conducted by Reverend John Callaway at First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at a church reception after the service.
