Clarence Kelly “Butch” Zealy, III of Savannah, passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 28, 2021.
Butch was born on September 18, 1958 to Clarence K. and Barbara M. Zealy. He attended school in Savannah and later joined the Air National Guard. He was a full-time employee at the 165th Airlift Wing and retired in 2017 after 33 years of service. Butch was a master mechanic and could fix or build anything. He also enjoyed fishing, researching and reading about history, and spending time with his 16-year-old dog, Willy.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Clarence K. “Bubba” Zealy, Jr. He is survived by his sons, Kelly J. Zealy and Sean J. Zealy of Guyton, Georgia and Patrick M. Zealy of Smyrna, Georgia; his mother, Barbara M. Zealy, sisters, Angela Zealy and Victoria Hiers (Winthrope) all of Guyton, Georgia; nieces, Ellen and Katy and a multitude of friends.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
