Celebrating the life of
James 'Jim' Edward Snow, Jr.
October 07, 1941 - October 20, 2021
James ‘Jim’ Edward Snow, Jr., 80 passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at his home. Jim was born October 7, 1941 in Augusta GA to the late James Edward Snow and Sarah Schofield Snow.
Jim graduated from Richmond Academy in Augusta, served in the US Air Force, received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Augusta College, and his Master of Arts from the University of South Alabama. Jim taught history, economics, and government in Mobile AL, Bluffton SC, and retired from Hilton Head High School after 28 years of dedicated service to education. He was an active member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of the Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America in Mobile AL and Hilton Head SC. Jim was a member of the Bluffton United Methodist Church where he was active in the choir and men’s club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah Cubbedge Snow, daughter Robin Snow Boylston (Cordes) of Barnwell SC, son James ‘Trey’ Edward Snow, III of Bluffton SC, and three beautiful grandchildren Cora Ashley Boylston, Nolan James Snow, and Sydney Grace Snow. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother John Donaldson Snow.
The family would especially like to thank his caregivers, Edna Gadson and Mary Patterson.
Graveside Services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah GA, officiated by Reverend Scarlett Hester. No ties!
