I know they're really aren't any words that can bring comfort at a time like this, but I love you all very much and am so incredibly sorry to hear about your loss. We had so many fun times together through the years, I think about Sapelo Island all the time and wish we could flash back to the good old days. I'm praying for you to all find some sort of comfort, somehow. I love you all, so much.

I met Jay way back 30 plus years ago. Vicki and I went to school together back In the early 1980’s. We knew the same circle of people so I would see Jay often out on the boat, the occasional cookout Or out downtown on weekends when we were young He was a great guy! I will miss him.

Jay was my first/best friend our first year together at Jenkins. We drifted apart as people often do, but I will always remember his smile, & going to his house when we were green teenagers in the 70's. It's truly a tragedy that his life has ended. I am so sorry for the family & friends of Jay and Vicki, and I will pray for your healing. How FRUITLESS words are at a time like this. God bless everyone that is hurt by the loss of my old friend.

We were lucky enough to spend time with Jay at his grand daughters birthday parties and on vacation. Our kids loved him as he was so kind to them. He always had a smile on his face and always had great stories to share. Despite his successes and accomplishments he was extremely humble and enjoyable to be around. He is a great man that will be missed dearly.

Dear Vicki , The two little words that will bring Jay back to your family are: COME OUT! When Jesus told Lazarus to come out, he did awaken from 4 days in the grave . When Jesus calls, Jay will answer Job 14:14. Living in the South we all love air-conditioning. What a contribution Jay made to the well being of humans. Caring for humanity is such a godly and loving provision. Being created in God’s image ,Jay was really trying to make our lives comfortable. This is what paradise will do for us. We will live in perfect conditions under Christ’s heavenly Kingdom government. Isaiah 9:6,7 With eternity in our hearts, we know the original purpose for humans will be realized. Please be comforted,, “Enjoy Life Forever”. God’s promise :Jay is alive in our minds and hearts, soon to be returned to his family and friends. John 5:28,29 & Acts 24:15 Christian love, Sandy Wirfs
