Celebrating the life of

Woodrow Wilson Dyches III

Passed away on October 03, 2021

Woodrow Wilson Dyches III

Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Dyches, III

Woody was born May 16, 1967 in Savannah, Georgia. He was the second child and oldest son of Linda and Woodrow Wilson Dyches, Jr.

He graduated from Calvary Day School in 1985.

Woody was handsome in his youth; he had a commanding presence and an unmistakable gait. He was known for his half grin, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes, and his infectious laugh.

He was an avid outdoorsman. Woody loved the forests and wetlands of Georgia and South Carolina. On a clear day, he was most likely to be found exploring a wildlife refuge, fishing from his kayak, or lounging in a deer stand. He was a football fan and enjoyed cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Dyches, and grandparents Nina Mae and Woodrow Wilson Dyches, Sr.

Woody is survived by his daughters, Tori Reed and Allison (Michael) Zoller; his granddaughter, Evie; siblings Michelle (Randolph) Page and Christopher (Melissa) Dyches; father Woodrow (Kathe) Dyches, Jr.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of his Life will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.  A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In remembrance of Woody’s life, the family asks that charitable donations be made to Friends of the Savannah Coastal Wildlife Refuges, P.O. Box 16841, Savannah, GA 31416 or online at coastalrefuges.org
