Mary Rivers Pittman
Passed away on September 16, 2021
Mary Carolyn Pittman 85, of Springfield passed away in her home on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Carolyn was survived in the death by her grandson David Pittman and wife Amanda Pittman; great grandchildren; Abigail Pittman, Johnnie Wright, and Aidan Wright as well as her two sisters, Joann Goff, Ruby lee Dickey and her husband Julian Dickey.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Robert Joseph Pittman Sr., her son Robert Joseph Pittman Jr., her sister Janet Ryland, and her brother Tom Rivers.
Carolyn loved her family and grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren the most. She was a nurse at Candler hospital for 34 years. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Greenwich Cemetery.
Carolyn will be so missed her love ofGod and caring for her husband and family meant the most to her . We will miss you and your sour cream pound cakes too .. what a reunion. In heaven. !!
