Celebrating the life of

Martin Francis Sheehan

March 28, 1988 - August 26, 2021

Martin Francis Sheehan

Martin Francis Sheehan left this world on August 25, 2021. He is survived by the love of his life, his fiancée Jessica Hinely, in addition to his parents, Pat and Therese Sheehan, his siblings Laura Sheehan and Andrew Sheehan, the Hinely and Lanier families, and his cherished dogs Buster and Ryder.

Born March 28, 1988, he attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Johnson High School in the class of 2006. He was employed at the Port of Savannah with ILA Local 1475. His affinity for cooking with fresh ingredients also led him to work at Davis Produce, where he met his beloved Jessica. He loved so many things in life, but Jessica most of all, and he looked forward to their upcoming marriage and joining their families together. He adored his siblings and was deeply devoted to his family, particularly treasuring times at Tybee and the annual Koncul 4th of July Horseshoe Tournament. Boating and fishing with the Hinely and Lanier families was a special source of joy for him.

Martin had many interests and talents in life, chief among them his impressive skills as a gourmet cook. A gentle soul with a smile and kind word for everyone he met, Martin will be forever missed by his many friends and the aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Koncul, Privett, Russoniello, Sheehan, Tambon, Moore, and Wallden families.

Martin was predeceased by grandparents, Gerard and Margaret Sheehan and Martin and Marguerite Koncul, Sr., uncle, Christopher Joseph Koncul and cousins, Lt. Stephen Nevarez and Sergeant Matthew Wallden.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.

Remembrances may be made to America’s Second Harvest Food Bank of Coastal Georgia or the charity of your choice.
