Andrew W. Young, 43, died Monday, August 16, 2021 in Victoria, Texas of complications from COVID-19.
The native and longtime resident of Savannah was born on October 1, 1977 to Louis Calvin Young, Jr. and Catherine Wittkamp Young. He was a graduate of Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia, GA and a former volunteer firefighter with Bryan County Fire Department.
Andy never met a stranger; he loved people as much as he did animals, UGA football, and playing softball.
In addition to his parents, Andy leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Amanda Rae Young; daughter, Addison Lehman Young; two brothers, Louis Calvin Young, III “Trey” (Rebecca) and Matthew Allen Young; two sisters, Mary Amanda Young and Ashton Langley Young; parents-in-law, Joe and Carol Henson; and numerous family and friends that will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Andy's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in Andrew’s memory to Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA 31405.
