George F. Schwarz, Jr., 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Hospice House, Savannah. 

The lifelong resident of Savannah was born on February 6, 1938 to the late George F. and Elise Williams Schwarz. Fred was a graduate of Benedictine Military School, Class of 1956, Armstrong Junior College, and The University of Georgia. Fred was of the Catholic Faith. He served in Air National Guard and was a member of the Hibernian Society and Knights of Columbus # 5588.
Fred retired in 2001 from Auto Electric of Savannah, a business he and his father owned and operated for many years. 

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his first wife, Carlotta Carlson Schwarz. 
Fred leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia Hodges Schwarz; six children, George F. Schwarz, III (Sherrie), Michael Schwarz (Dabny), Sandra Aiken (Cliff), Robert Schwarz (Ellie), Nanette Wall (Dennis), and Judith Lanoue (Rob); 14 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Father Patrick O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Fred’s honor to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
