Barbara D. McLaughlin

Barbara Davidson McLaughlin, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Memorial University Medical Center.  Barbara was born January 30, 1938 in Windsor, Ontario Canada to the late Robert and Etta Davidson.  She and her husband lived in Connecticut before retiring to Skidaway Island 26 years ago.  Barbara was a faithful member of Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, The Landings Club, the L.W.G.A., the Savannah Symphony Board of Directors (Women’s Guild), and also a member of the P.E.O.  She was a charter member of the 100 Club where she helped organize the Bear Gala for the past 26 years.  She was known by many as the “Centerpiece Lady”, always willing to make a special arrangement for an event.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Curtis, her daughter Nancy, and her sister, Betty Young.

Mrs. McLaughlin is survived by her husband, Samuel Hunter McLaughlin.

A Memorial Service will be held at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, August 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. 

Remembrances may be made to Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
