Mark and dear family, We were honored to know Jill. She was a bright light who shared her gifts and joy with the whole world. We will always have fond memories of working the Tybee parade with you both. We will always cherish how Jill kept Margaret Mary's legacy alive for our son. Jill went out of her way to remember Jed with special die-cast cars for his first few Christmases. This selfless act was to honor a promise she made to a friend. That's just what Jill did. Know she is with you always- in every sunrise and sunset. You are all in our prayers. Love to all. God bless. Diane, Keith + Jed

When we moved to Savannah, we struck gold with Ms. Wieniewitz as my daughter's teacher. She made this difficult transition light and joyful. She appreciated and got to know her so well, and celebrated her with us. She cared so much about all of her students and rejoiced at all of their successes. She kept in touch with us even though I know we were just one family out of hundreds she knew and loved. She was always among the first to comment on any photo I shared of us. When my mother passed away recently, even though she herself was sick, she immediately offered her love and condolences and asked us what we needed. Her spirit of genuine joy and giving touched so many of us and I will remember it always.

It is with a heavy heart I send my sincere condolences

I've known Jill since 1997 when she had my grand-daughter in her Kindergarten class. It breaks my heart to know that she was called home so soon. I will miss her always.

We are utterly broken. Jill burst into our lives in August of 1997. She came running, smiling, arms out-stretched, to claim our daughter as her own. As she did with every child that came into her classroom, she gave Morgan Rose a love of reading, a mastery of phonetics, and a foundation for learning that will serve her all of her life. Jill taught us that there are NO secrets in Kindergarten... a lesson we all learned one hysterical slip of the tongue at a time. Jill was an Irish firebrand: Dathúil, strong, determined, and undeniable. She was our pied-piper, our Taoiseach, our friend. We imagine her in Heaven, gathering the little angels close to her, reading Dr. Seuss, singing, and teaching them all the Chicken Dance. We can't say goodbye to Jill. She'll never leave us. Until we meet again, dear friend. Until we meet again.

Mrs. Wieniewitz was my kindergarten teacher. I will be 30 years old this year and being in her class seems like yesterday. I will never forget her and her dedication to her students. I hope she is rejoicing in heaven right now. She deserves it! Love you Mrs. Wieniewitz!

Jill never met a person she did not befriend, a friend she did not support, or a child she did not fully embrace and challenge academically. Her loving and enthusiastic nature left indelible memories with all who knew her... What a wonderful legacy! She will be dearly missed. Sincere sympathy to her family.
